Masters degree preferred; minimum requirement for all candidates is a bachelors degree coupled with five or more years leadership experience; expertise and/or extensive field knowledge in affordable housing, addictions, and social services; experience in managing government contracts, grants, or HUD-administered programs (specifically, but not limited to: HOME, CDBG, SHP, and 202); excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to work independently and supervise staff; ability to build positive community public relations; ability to develop annual budget, communicate, and understand financial reporting (i.e., financial statements, balance sheet, and audit); proven history of success in fundraising, grant writing, and donor management; maintain a strong competency of human resource, finance/accounting, and IRS laws and regulations as it pertains to non-profit organizations; capacity to work effectively with a culturally diverse board, staff, and clientele.
