Albert Brownlee | CEO

Albert T. Brownlee is the CEO of Genesis Outreach, Inc. Through his leadership, the company has successfully secured and administered multiple grants for affordable housing programs serving low-income individuals and families totaling over $7.5 million to date. Albert attended Clark Atlanta University and Indiana University where he earned the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Bachelor of General Studies, and Master of Business Administration. He is a 2013 awardee for 40 Under 40 by the Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly, a 2010 graduate of Leadership Fort Wayne, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Abundant Life Church. He is happily married and is the proud parent of 4 children.

Joel M. Usina | Director of Operations

As one of Genesis Outreach’s new staff members, Joel returns to the organization as its Director of Operations. In this role, Joel will oversee all operations of Genesis and help facilitate efficient and effective programs and services for the people Genesis helps. Having been connected to Genesis for the past seven years and working in both non- and for-profit contexts, Joel brings with him both a skill-set and passion to help Genesis continue to accomplish its mission—to impact our community one family at a time. Joel is married to Abbie, and they have three children—Elaylah, Silas, and Joylin. Joel received a degree in Religious Studies from Ball State (2005), along with a Master’s of Divinity degree from Campbell University Divinity School (2011).

A’bby Brownlee | Accountant

A’bby officially joined the Genesis Outreach team in August of 2018 serving as the organization’s Accountant. Prior to this, in 2017, he completed an intensive 10-week business internship for Genesis Outreach working alongside the accounting staff of Health Visions Midwest in Hammond, Indiana. A’bby graduated from Purdue University Northwest (2018) acquiring two undergraduate degrees—Bachelor of Science in Business concentrated in Finance and a Bachelor of Accounting. Immediately after graduation, he completed a summer research fellowship as a nationally acclaimed McNair Scholar and Fellow focusing on the rapidly ever-changing envrionment of urban economics, international business trade, and finance. A’bby is happily married to the love of his life, Destiny Marie Brownlee.

Candice Hall | Counselor

Candice Hall began her employment with Genesis Outreach in February 2013. She provides onsite counseling for residents of the transitional living program and assists with case management support to clients who have been deemed at-risk. Candice has a long history of working in the Social Services arena. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ball State University and a Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of Saint Francis. Most recently, she received a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. She is the proud mother of one son, Jalen, who enjoys dance and playing football. Candice enjoys spending time with her son, going to the movies, and watching Colts football.

Tressie Fowlkes | Family Services Case Manager

Tressie Fowlkes originally began her employment with Genesis Outreach in January 2011 as a Community Case Manager. She provides onsite case management for residents in the transitional living program. She received a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Indiana Institute of Technology and an Associate degree of Applied Science in Business Administration from Ivy Tech Community College. She is the proud mother of three children Dontay, Demetria, and Christol. Tressie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and cooking.
